“I wanted to share this experience with Tuky. She is not a stay-at-home kind of dog, she is well trained -we walk long distances at home- so she is having no problem at all (today we walked 25 kilometres. We had to take some precautions, though. We reserved the hostels in advance, making sure that they acepted dogs, and we brought a pad hardener, analgesics and some aloe vera for her. When you walk the Camino with a dog you have to respect their space, their pacing, and think of them first. And she is enjoying it very much! She is the queen of the Camino. Everybody is petting her and giving her presents.
Sharing my life with a dog has deeply changed me. I used to enjoy going to bullfights, for example, and now I can’t stand it. Those days are over thanks to her.”
