Luana: “This is a beautiful and exhausting experience, and a really moving one. We’ve suffered everything from tendinitis to gastroenteritis (please don’t drink from public fountains). And I don’t know why, but I spent three whole stages crying: Alto del Perdón, la Cruz de Hierro and Grañas. It was weird. It was pure emotion.

We’ve come out of curiosity, we got married 25 years ago and wanted to celebrate it here. But we were also looking for a new motivation for our faith, because we’re Christians, but not very practising. And, I’ll tell you something, something funny: one night at a hostel, we got together with several other pilgrims, lighted some candles and began talking: about life, about feelings, what we thought about different matters; everything and nothing, really. About lots of things. And, don’t ask me why but, then and there, for the first time in my life, I felt that God was standing beside me, I felt Him standing among us. I felt his presence.

Luana: “Esta es una experiencia bella y fatigosa,  muy emocionante. Hemos tenido de todo: tendinitis, gastroenteritis (por favor, no bebáis de las fuentes), y  yo que, no sé por qué, me pasé tres etapas llorando: Alto del Perdón, la cruz de hierro y Grañas. Fue raro, fue como de pura emoción.

Hemos venido por curiosidad, nos casamos hace 25 años y queríamos celebrar aquí. Pero también estabamos buscando una motivación para la fe, porque somos cristianos, pero no practicantes. Y te cuento una cosa, una cosa curiosa: en un albergue, de noche, nos reunimos varios peregrinos después de cenar, encendimos velas y empezamos a hablar: de la vida, de lo que pensábamos, de sentimientos… De todo y de nada. De un montón de cosas. Y no sé por qué pero ahí, en ese momento, creo que por primera vez en mi vida sentí que Dios estaba conmigo, que estaba entre nosotros. Sentí su presencia.
