Eduardo: “Our motivation for being here is neither a spiritual nor a religious one. We’re here for the fun, the physical activity and the landscapes.”
Sara: “And also because we wanted to live a new experience. And to escape Madrid for a while, the crowded, crowded city in which we live. What we are doing here, indeed, is to avoid the cities at the end of the stage -where mostly everybody spends the night- and look for accommodation in smaller and quieter villages.”

Eduardo: “I’d also like to highlight how kind everybody is here, how friendly and hospitable. But I’d also love to ask the other pilgrims for help in keeping the Camino clean. We are finding wrappers, cigarette packs, and papers scattered along the way, and it’s a shame.”

Sara: “A real shame.”

Eduardo: “Nuestra motivación para estar aquí no es religiosa: hemos venido por ocio, por hacer deporte y por los paisajes.”

Sara: “y por vivir una experiencia nueva. Además queríamos escapar de las aglomeraciones de Madrid, ¡hay tanta gente! De hecho lo que estamos haciendo es evitar las ciudades de final de etapa – donde se queda todo el mundo- y buscar albegues en pueblos pequeños y tranquilos.”

Eduardo: “Me gustaría destacar la amabilidad de la gente aquí, y su hospitalidad. Y me gustaría también pedir a los otros peregrinos que, por favor, ayuden a conservar el Camino en buenas condiciones. Sobre todo con el tema de la basura. Estamos viendo envoltorios, paquetes de tabaco y papeles por el suelo, y es una pena.”

Sara: “Un gran pena.”
