“This is my third try at the Camino. The first time, I started in France and quit in Pamplona. The second, I started in Burgos, walked for two days until I couldn’t endure the pain anymore, and quit again.This time I’m walking from Sarria — way closer to Santiago– and I arrive today, so I’m happy.
The problem is that I’m not a sporty guy, and I’m fat, so it’s hard for me. Also, this isn’t quite what I expected. I’ve been in Spain before, In Mallorca, and I guess I thought the whole country was like that: sunny, warm… and it’s not: it is cold, it snows, it rains… mostly it rains. It´s definitely not what I expected.”

“Este es mi tercer intento de hacer el Camino. La primera vez empecé en Francia y aguanté hasta Pamplona. La segunda fui hasta Burgos, caminé dos días hasta que no pude más con el dolor y otra vez me volví. Esta vez he empezado en Sarria -mucho más cerca- y hoy llego a Santiago, asi que estoy contento.
Mi problema es que no soy un tipo deportista y estoy gordo, así que me cuesta mucho. Además esto no es…, bueno, no es como esperaba. Yo había estado antes en España, en Mallorca, y pensé que todo el país era así, con buen tiempo, soleado, pero no: hace frío, nieva, llueve… sobre todo llueve. Me esperaba otra cosa.”
