Jill: “Last year my mom got sick. When she recovered, I asked her to do something together and we thought about this.”
Edith: “My father is a Camino expert, he has walked almost every route, and he said: ‘Go for the English Way, It’s the easiest, and a good introduction for beginners.'”
Jill: “We agreed and started to arrange everything.”
Edith: “My daughter is very methodical, so she sent me a list of all the things I needed, and begged me to prepare everything in advance. The day of our departure, I ended up running a half marathon and packing only 2 hours before our flight. ”
Jill: “So we arrive in Ferrol and start walking, I with everything double-checked, and my mom who has packed in a rush and, 100 meters after we start, this happens (she shows me a picture on her phone). One of my very expensive boots just disintegrates.”
Edith: “And she had to left it behind and has been walking like this, (she points at her daughter’s feet.) for the last 32 kilometers, despite all the preparation that she did.”
Jill: “Yep…”
(Laughs.)

Jill: “El año pasado mi madre estuvo enferma. Cuando se recuperó, le propuse hacer algo juntas y se nos ocurrió esto.”
Edith: “Mi padre es un experto en el Camino, ha hecho casi todas las rutas, y nos dijo: ‘Haced el Camino Inglés, es el más fácil y una buena introducción para principiantes.’”
Jill: “Nos pareció bien y empezamos a preparar todo.”
Edith: “Mi hija es muy metódica, me mandó una lista de todo lo que nececitábamos y me pidió que lo arreglara todo con antelación. El dia en que volabamos, terminé corriendo una media maratón y haciendo la mochila 2 horas antes de salir.”
Jill: “Así que llegamos a Ferrol y empezamos a caminar, yo, con todo doblemente comprobado, y mi madre que empaquetó a toda prisa y, 100 metros después empezar, me pasa esto: (me enseña una foto en el teléfono.) Una de mis botas, que no fueron baratas, se desintegra.”
Edith: “Y tuvo que dejarlas atrás y ha estado caminando así, (señala a los pies de su hija) durante los últimos 32 kilometros, pese a toda la preparación que hizo.”
Jill: “Sip…”
