Bring old, ragged t-shirts and, at the end of the day, instead of washing them, throw them away.  One less thing to worry about.
Always have a look at the altimetry data of that day stage before you begin, and adjust your eating to the slopes: climb with as little in your stomach as you can.

Lastly,  probably the most important piece of advice: take it easy. We are always amazed by those guys who wake up at 6 in the morning and leave the hostel while is still dark outside. You are going to be the first to arrive, sure, but you are also going to miss everything. Relax, take your time; this is not a competition.”

“No traigas calzado nuevo aquí a no ser que quieras sufrir; pruébalo antes, gástalo. adáptalo a tu pie.

La ropa también, cuanto más vieja, mejor, Nosotros guardamos camisetas gastadas y las traemos. Al final del día, a la basura con ellas. Una cosa menos que lavar.
Échale un vistazo a los datos de altimetría al empezar la etapa y ajusta lo que comes . Sube las cuestas con el estómago vacío.
Y por último, quizás lo más importante: tómatelo con calma. Vemos gente que se levanta a las 6, de noche, y se pone a caminar. Vas a llegar el primero al albergue, seguro, pero te lo vas a perder todo. Relájate, mira a tu alrededor, disfruta. Esto no es una competición.”
