Laura: “Everything’s been good so far. The only thing we didn’t like was yesterday’s hostel, in Pontedeume, and it’s the only one there. The place isn’t bad, it’s clean and comfortable, but the thing is that it is closed until 5 in the evening. We, for example, arrived around 3 and had to wait for a couple of hours before we could even take a shower. Also, they ask you to keep the door closed and don’t open it to other pilgrims if they aren’t around, and I think that that’s the staff’s responsibility, not ours.”

“And what did you do those 2 hours until it opened?”

Laura: “We? What do you think? We had some beers. We needed our cereals.”

Laura: “Todo ha estado genial hasta ahora. Lo que menos nos ha gustado fue el albergue de ayer, en Pontedeume, y es el único que hay allí. El sitio no está mal, está limpio y es cómodo, pero el tema es que está cerrado hasta las cinco de la tarde. Nosotros, por ejemplo, llegamos a las tres y tuvimos que esperar dos horas antes de poder pegarnos una ducha. Además te piden que no abras la puerta a otros peregrinos si ellos no están por allí, y creo que eso es responsabilidad del personal del albergue, no de los usuarios.”

“¿Y qué hicisteis esas dos horas mientras esperabais?”

Laura: “¿Tú qué crees? Tomar unas cervezas. Necesitábamos nuestros cereales.”
(Risas.)
