Sergio: “These are my mother, my uncle and a family friend.”

Carmen: “My husband is also with us, but in a car, in charge of the logistics: looking for accommodation, carrying the heavy stuff…”

Jose: “And he doesn’t charge us much.”

Carmen: “But he complains a lot!” (Laughs.)

Jose: “The reason we’re here? For me, it’s easy: beer and tortilla. And a bit of walking too, because walking makes you feel tired and thirsty, so you have to drink more beer.”(Laughs.)

Donato: “For me it’s different. I wanted to get to know Galicia, its villages, its culture…”

Jose: “Besides, you are a very religious person”.

Donato: “I am. But I also wanted to get to know its people better”.

Jose: “And their beer!”

Sergio: “I think he prefers wine.”

Donato: “I do, but wine it’s more expensive.” (Laughs.)

Sergio: “For me, this is my second Camino and, apart from the beer, I’m doing it for my brother, who died. He’d promised my mother that he’d walk the Camino, but he died before doing it, so I’m here so that he could, somehow, keep his promise”.

Donato: “Quite a coup!”

Sergio: “Estos son mi madre, mi tío y un amigo de la familia”.

Carmen: “Y tenemos a mi marido en un coche encargado de la logística: nos busca hotel, nos lleva las cosas pesadas…”

Jose: ¨

“Y nos cobra poquito”. (Risas.)

Carmen: “Pero se queja mucho”. (Risas.)

Jose: “¿Que por qué estamos aquí? Yo lo tengo claro, por la cerveza y por la tortilla. Y por pasear un poquito también, porque al caminar, te cansas y te da la sed, así que bebes cerveza”. (Risas)

Donato: “yo tengo otros motivos. Quería conocer Galicia, sus pueblos, su cultura…”.

Jose: “Tu además eres más religioso”.

Donato: “Si. También quería conocer a su gente”.

Jose: “Y la cerveza”.

Sergio: “Él es más de vino”. (Risas.)

Donato: “Sí que soy, pero es más caro”. (Risas.)

Sergio: “ Para mi es mi segundo Camino y, aparte de por la cerveza, lo hago por mi hermano fallecido. Le prometió a mi madre que vendría y ya no pudo hacerlo, así que he venido yo”.

Donato: “Casi nada”.
