“I was born here, in Galicia, but I’ve lived in many places. Now I’ve been working in the States for twelve years, where I teach Spanish at Hastings college in Nebraska. I’m walking with David, a colleague, and seven students of Spanish. I miss Galicia very much and been wanting to visit it for quite a long time. To walk it and enjoy it; maybe just to remember. Now, because the boys are faster, and David slower, I’ve had some time on my own, just to rediscover the ladscape and be alone with this beautiful land. This isn’t going to be my last time here, but I think that, for now, I’ve fulfilled my dream.”

¨Nací en Galicia, pero he vivido en muchos sitios. Ahora llevo doce años en Estados Unidos, y soy profesor de español en la universidad de Nebraska. He venido con David, un colega, y siete estudiantes de español.
Hecho muchísimo de menos Galicia y hace tiempo que quería venir de viaje solo, para recorrerla y disfrutarla; para recordarla. Ahora, como los chavales van más rápido y David más despacio, he tenido tiempo para redescubrir el paisaje y estar un poco a solas con mi tierra. Esta no va a ser mi última visita, pero creo que, por ahora, he cumplido mi sueño.¨
