“Being here alone has been a wonderful experience for me, because I was coming from a huge personal crisis; a total questioning of reality. I am really interested in conspirancy theories: reptilians, dwellers of the hollow earth…, that kind of stuff. I’ve also been experimenting with lucid dream. Those are really interesting topics, that’s for sure, but which also have their own downsides. One, for example, is that it’s easy to begin asking yourself whether what you are experiencing is real or not. Take this situation, for example, the one we’re living now. You and me sitting here, chatting and drinking, and you taking notes. Is it real?, because, we’ve got to admit it, It’s kind of strange. A way of checking this, a hack I’ve developed, is to look at my hands -like this- and to ask myself, are they any diferent? Is there anything weird about them? If the answer is no, like now, I can be sure to be in the real world, not in a dream. This is something good about the Camino; It helps me to be focused.”
