Marianna: “We’ve been friends forever. We were born in the same year and on the same street, and our parents were friends already. Now I’ve been living in Spain for many years, whereas Connie is still in Holland, but we’ve managed to keep our friendship alive. This is our first Camino together. We’ve chosen the English Way because, apparently, is less crowded than others. We are walking at a slow pace, taking our time—watching, listening and smelling. We are trying to be in the moment and, above all, we’re enjoying our time together.”

Yo llevo ya bastantes años en España, y Connie sigue viviendo en Holanda, pero, aún así, hemos conservado nuestra amistad. Este es nuestro primer Camino juntas. Hemos escogido el Inglés porque, aparentemente, está menos concurrido que otros. Estamos caminando despacio, tranquilas: mirando, escuchando y oliendo. Estamos intentando saborear el momento y, sobre todo, estamos disfrutando de este tiempo juntas.”
