John: “There are many things here that someone from Europe or from other parts of the world maybe wouldn’t appreciate as much as we do. One day, for example, after a particularly demanding stage, we arrived at the hostel —a country house, really— and we discovered that it was a 17th-century building. That, in our country, in the U.S. would have made it one of the oldest houses still standing. Or another time, another hard day, in which we were walking with some Irish pilgrims, and it started to rain heavily and, while we were soaking to the bone, they were happy,…, just… happy. So happy, in fact, that they started to sing ‘Hallelujah’.
This is not like a walk around your house. This…, I don’t know, this helps you connect with something, I think.”
Elisabeth: “With the universe, I’ll even dare to say. This helps you connect with the universe.”
John: “And that’s something that cannot be more important right now.”
Elisabeth “Yup, especially if we consider who our new president is.”
